How does the water flow?

Why do clouds move like they do?

What dictates the shapes of trees?

Like a boy with a magnifying glass I am looking for an answer, spending my time trying to unravel the mysterious energies that flow through nature.

Using observation, often through photography, I capture moments of time and then manipulate materials- accident having its important role- trying to create an “inscape”- the form that evokes the spiritual. The resulting piece can be in an iconic form, or a more literal translation of landscape/ nature.

I am a passionate printmaker and this media is often the starting point to all my work. The experiments with paint then come from the prints: surfaces and layers changing as my subconscious mind continuously strives for connections.
