I trained in Fine Art Printmaking and now have 15 years experience of using traditional and experimental relief printmaking techniques- including linocuts, woodcuts, collagraphs, fabric prints, card making, creating limited editions, and interpreting paintings and drawings in print.
As well as introducing you to the wonderful effects that can be achieved with lino and collagraph, I will also encourage you to try your hand at the safe and reliable new techniques that I have developed using DIY materials.
The aim of all my courses is to give newcomers a basic competency in printmaking, and to assist those with some experience to develop and extend their range. The work is based around individual projects and will to a large extent be guided by what you want to achieve.
I am flexible with times and dates, so I can design the course to fit round your lifestyle.
I am also an experienced draughtsman and digital photographer and would be very happy to use the wonderful landscape aroung Monmouth to help you improve your skills in those areas and to help you use the results in your printmaking.
Course cost: £60 a day per adult (minimum 3), basic starting materials included
Private tuition: £25 an hour, £15 half an hour
I am afraid that I don't do etching or silkscreen.
