(Large scale prints on cloth (181cm by 24cm) and paper (60cm by 45cm); and digital prints combined with each other and with paint and print- work in progress)

This new series of prints, started late in 2005, have a different energy to Bach Hidden, which were intimate and surreal. These are quite clearly a reaction to the landscape of my new home, Monmouth, in Wales, particularly inspired by the fast flowing Monnow and Wye rivers; the dark glen through which tumbles Cleddon Falls; and the rich and intense Forest Of Dean.

The arrival of my new printing press meant that I could experiment at a large scale. Deciding to carry on experimenting with the techniques that I discovered earlier this year- using Caustic soda on MDF and a blowtorch on rubber- I managed to take them to a new level of mark-making. The resulting surfaces have been printed by over-layering, as is usual in my work, but with more layers and with a roughness that has added an even greater sculptural quality to the work.

The work is still in progress and will be continued into digital prints combined with print and paint, and further relief prints.
